Setting up Tax and Delivery Fees

Rentalsetup allows you to collect a delivery fee and tax fee when a customer places a rental order for your party rental supplies. This ensures all costs are transparently handled.

How to Add Delivery and Tax Fees

You can add and configure tax and delivery fees on the Site Settings page. To access it, click on "Site Settings" in the admin navigation bar.

Delivery Fees

In the delivery area on the site settings page, you'll find a list of zip codes where you allow deliveries. Each zip code has a corresponding fee input field. Enter the delivery fee for each zip code, and it will be automatically added to the order when a customer enters a matching address in the rental form.

Tax Fees

On the site settings page, you can set up taxes for your rental orders. You can specify the tax as a percentage and provide a descriptive label, such as "Arizona State Tax." This tax will be applied to all applicable rental orders.

Where Fees Are Displayed to the Customer

The tax and delivery fees are shown to the customer in several places to ensure clarity:

• In the sidebar of the product page.
• In the sidebar on the checkout page.
• On the auto-generated PDF invoice that is created when a rental job is confirmed.
• In the payment section on the jobs list page within the admin area.
